I've always wanted a Western-themed iidx installment. With guns. Not just revolvers, but also anything related to firearms like gatling guns, bullets, etc. I recall talking about this already earlier in my fanart for iidx 23 copula, but the idea for a Western-themed iidx first came to mind before copula was first announced. When PENDUAL was the latest installment, I thought of several others like fire+ice (FIRICE; portmanteau of fire and ice obviously; one of the events could be called "Ignis Glaciem"), nature (ECORA; you know what, I think this theme's more fit for Jubeat), steampunk/dieselpunk, etc.
I looked up and analyzed logos of recent iidx installments starting with 19 Lincle to somehow clarify the idea in mind. For the "ESCOPETA" text, I used this tutorial (design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/…
) after searching for an appropriate texture and color composition to fit the desired theme.
As for the gun cylinder, it's actually an imported image, but its layer style has been done by me. Only the shape has been imported. The loaded bullet was also done by me. Funny, it looks better more zoomed out...
The "Konami Digital Entertainment" thing that's accompanied with every logo for every Bemani rhythm game to date has been omitted for a reason in case you ask. One would expect criticism and controversy from messing with copyrights. I could reconsider this though.
P.S. ESCOPETA is Spanish for shotgun. It sounds catchy, and the meaning and language fits with the Western theme. I do recall Mexicans are common elements in fictional western settings.
Just found this out: I made this on my Mac, but apparently it has a different color profile than that of Windows.
The background was originally supposed to be more reddish...fixed it anyways.
